Semester Exam part 2 and 3

Jack Ryder was killed by co-worker Mark millers, on Saturday, May 15, 2011 at 9:08. Mark claimed that Jack was abusing their partnership for his own self needs.
Frank Smith a monk, lit himself on fire in protest to stop the actions that are against his beliefs. This was Monday, April 5,2011 at 1:17 in Hong Kong.
Animal shelter, We love pets, rescued a baby rhino in Africa who was severely injured and took him to safely at the nearest Veterinarian Hospital. This was March 1, 2012.
Merging because the bikers are all merging into each other.

This is Rule of Thirds photography because the picture was taken at a certain angle. The angle was purposely  set this way so the photo could look like three dimensional.  In this photo the rule of thirds provided a path to follow in the photo.
This is a Example of Simplicity Because the photo was taken to give the man the attention in the photo and be the main subject. This is because the background has nothing to attract the readers attention so the reader will automatacally look at the man first.

This is an example of balance because the Olympic Symbol has equal weight on both sides. This balance help the symbol look more unique by it being able to line up and balance with the moon as well. Balancing made this look classy.
This is an  Example of Shutter speed because the picture is taken very quickly to capture the rain clearly. This photo is meant to draw people in by amazing them with the ability to capture something thats coming down so fast that regular camera could take.

This is an example of leading lines because the photo has a path right in the center that has the reader following the path. the lines leads to the dog and where he came from.
Balance: This is Valance because the girl is perfectly balance with her legs.

3 Pillars of Exposure

APERTURE:
Aperture F2.8
Aperture F16
1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture?
Pupil
2. The smaller the Aperture the larger the f-number, the higher the Aperture the lower the f- number
SHUTTER SPEED:
Fast Shutter Speed
Slow Shutter Speed
1. a. I would keep aperture low and have a high shutter speed
b. low aperture and high shutter speed
c. high aperture
d. low shutter speed and low aperture
e. low aperture
f. low aperture
 Change in light
.a. high aperture
b. high aperture and low shutter speed
c. low aperture
d. high aperture
e. high aperture
f. high aperture
2.

  • Aperture Priority mode is when you set the aperture of the lens and the camera will set the shutter speed.
  • Shutter Priority mode is the opposite of aperture mode, you set the shutter speeds while the camera sets the aperture automatically.
  • Manual mode is when you manually set both aperture and shutter speed
ISO
200
3200
1. the higher ISO can capture the image without using flash
2. to have the most detail and highest quality
3. to quickly capture and image and freeze motion faster

  • F4 -1/60 NO BACKGROUND and its blurry and too bright you can't really see the detail of the couple
  • F5.6- 1/60 looks really good
  • F8- 1/60 little darker but can see detail
  • F11- 1/60 dark but can see detail
  • F16- 1/30 too dark can't really see details
  • F22- 1/15 too  dark can't see anything

ELEMENTS OF ART

lines are marks made by a pointed tool: brush, pencil, pen, etc. Lines can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.

shape are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

color are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

value are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles or squares have perfect, uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world, like plants and animals.

form describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.

texture can be rough, bumpy, slick, scratchy, smooth, silky, soft, prickly--the list is endless.  Texture refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.

space refers to distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or  negative (black or dark), open or closed, shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional.

PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN
balance  is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art.  There are three different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial. The human figure is symmetrically balanced; the same on the left and right side. The tree is asymmetrically balanced; its branches are not distributed equally on each side, but their total weight is balanced left and right. The sun is an example of radial balance; all its rays are equal in length from the center.

contrast is created by using elements that conflict with one another. Often, contrast is created using complementary colors or extremely light and dark values. Contrast creates interest in a piece and often draws the eye to certain areas. It is used to make a painting look interesting.

emphasis in the focal area of an artwork gives it importance.  An artist may stress some elements of the design over others. The eye of the viewer will focus on the area of emphasis or center of interest first, then take in the rest of the composition.

movement in an artwork means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of lines, edges, shapes, and colors often leading to the focal area.  Movement is a visual flow through the composition. It can be the suggestion of motion in a design as you move from object to object by way of placement and position.  Directional movement can be created with a value pattern. It is with the placement of dark and light areas that you can move your attention through the format.

pattern are made in art when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.  Pattern uses the elements of art in planned or random repetitions to enhance surfaces of paintings or sculptures.

rhythm  is the repetition of shapes, lines, and forms.  Rhythm is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly.  Like a dance, it will have a flow of objects that will seem to be like the beat of music.

unity means that all elements in an artwork are in harmony.  Unity brings together a composition with similar units.  For example, if your composition was using wavy lines and organic shapes you would stay with those types of lines and not put in even one geometric shape.

My Room
is my place to lock myself in and do whatever I want in my room. My room describes me, the walls are blue just like my favorite color, it has my favorite suff animal of Lion King. I also have trophies for all the teams i played on for softball. My room is sometimes a mess because of the nights I get home late and just fall asleep and put everything on the floor.

Stress
My way of coping with stress is working out or playing softball because thats when i forget about it. I have also  been dealing with stress lately and i honestly feel miserable when doing things while having stress. even when i don't feel like going to practice I do because i have to but afterwards I'm thankful for going be i feel better for some reason, it maybe because my teammates are a lot of fun and they make me laugh and have a good time. So them making me laugh and me doing something I love, softball, just makes things go away and make me want to play softball all day because my stress is constantly coming back even after softball. But thats my best way of copping with stress.

HALLOWEEN
My ideal halloween would be my whole family is at my house and everyone brings food and all my cousins and my little sister go trick or treating and I would like to have my boyfriend come with us. This Halloween will be similar to this, me and my sister are matching costumes, we are both costumes. At the end of the night I would want to watch scary movies with older cousin and my boyfriend.
